Laura's concept was on the gaze. The gaze is the objectification of women and the commonality of nudity. It changes the way women change their precption of themeselves which results in them seiing themselves as objectives. Also it turnes the objectification as a soucre of pleasure, for both the looker and looked-at. Showing how the audience view the people presented. From feminist conspetion it is looked in three ways. Firstly how men look at women secondly how women look at themselves. Thirdly the way women look at other women. In 1975, Laura stated that in film audeinces see the characters from the perspective of a hetrosexual man.
What feauteres in the male gaze is that the camera follows on the female curves. It also shows events on what happenes to women and are presented in the context of a mans reaction to these events. It puts women into their stauts of objectives. This means that the female viewers must experience the narrative secondailry. Equally alot of therist state that sexualising of the female body especailly where the sexiness of the femal has no revelense to the product that is being adverstied.
On the contray, some women enjoy being looked at. The 'gaze' can also be directed to the same gender. For reasons being for comparision like thier bodies, clothing e.t.c It is not always seen as in a sexual matter.
