AMBER - Research that helped me chose my Short list on fonts

The following CD covers of Digipaks are what helped me shortlist the 20 fonts I initially had.

^ Rihanna - Her fonts are light and rounded with smooth edges and blunt endings. She is a r&b artist therefore it is important to take this style of font into consideration to make mine conventionally of the genre if I use a font like this.

Mariah Carey - Her fonts remain pretty similar throughout all of these front covers of her CD's. The letters are quite spaced out from each other to make the letter clear and easy to read. They have blunt endings and don't have little bottoms that the letters sit on like in some other fonts. Therefore a lot of the fonts I have chosen are like this and have blunt endings too. Another important thing that I have noticed about all of these front covers, are that they all are written in CAPITAL LETTERS, because of this I plan to write the name of my artist in caps too and also the album name as well. Getting inspiration from existing CD front covers is very important so that I can understand the conventions of how artists from the Soul/r&b genre use their fonts.
