AMBER - Further developments of advertisement
Today I have worked on my advertisement further, I took the mock up that I made but I enhanced it and changed it in many ways to get this more developed version of it.
What have I done to it?
- I faded out the frizzy bits of hair using the clone stamp tool
- I blurred around my hair to make it fade into the background more
- I enhanced the colour contrast of the picture to make it slightly more red
- I added logos of where the album can be downloaded and bought from
- I added logos of social networking sites where people can 'follow' Athena
Why have I done these things?
There are reasons why I do everything and the main reasons are to connect to the genre and to appeal to the target audience.
- I changed the colour contrast to make it match with the digipak as I used this effect in that too. This also enhances the colour scheme giving a more red passionate feel to it, which connects to the soul genre.
- I added logos to make it more visual so that at a glance we can instantly see and recognise what these logos are for.
- I added the social networking sites because this will attract the target audience to get involved. Young people between the ages of 16-24 often use the internet and social networking sites a lot so they will be likely to follow her which will create a fan base for Athena and she really needs to create one as she is a new artist trying to get recognised.
What else is there to do?
On Monday I will go to workshop and get a teachers opinion of what I've done. I would like to know if the white font at the bottom with the reviews looks ok and if it is clear enough. I will also add the image of the digipak on the front of the advertisement on Monday as I want to do it properly and not by a screen shot at home because this may pixilate it.
