Production of Ancillary Products – Lesson 3

In lesson (16/01/13) I have finish creating the ancillary products to go with the new music video ‘Wonder’, for the new artist Athena.

The first thing I did in lesson was to work on the digipak spine. I have added the record label logo to the end of the spine, moved the text closer and added the barcode number at the top of the spine.
I have also sharpened all the images seem on the digipak and the image seen on the digipak, as it was suggest by Tony. I also think with the images being sharpened they look better.
I have also removed the promotional sticker which is seen on the image of the front cover of the digipak on the advertisement. As the sticker is something which is stuck on and added after the digipaks are finished being made.

I have removed the text ‘CD’ seen on the CD artwork, as it was not very necessary. I have also moved the album title down on the CD so that it is easier to read

When looking at the advertisement I was wondering if I should remove the HMV logo and replace it with iTunes as HMV maybe closing down, after I changed the image background to black. However when I spoke to Louisa about it she has suggested that I should just add the iTunes logo to show that it will also available at iTunes to pre-order. So even if HMV do close down, the album will be available to pre-order from another shop.
