Using Photoshop Elements

I have used Photoshop elements for my design activity on trying to make a quick digipak to try and improve the digipak Rebecca made for Dan London. I do have little understanding of how to use Photoshop but I did find it a bit hard to use as I dint know where certain things were. However it was easier to after the class was given a brief tutorial by Mickey.

I have decided to create a black and white digipak based on an acoustic guitar as that is the main instrument Dan London plays. I have added a close up of his face on the front of the digipak as this is very important when introducing a new artist.

I will then go on to add text and titles (track list, artist name, album title …) using Quark Xpress as this will be easier and the software is more suited for adding text and titles. Where as Photoshop is more for editing and working with photos and images.
